  I've been staying at Water's Edge in Garden City almost every year for 25 years now. The rooms are comfortable, each with a balcony porch overlooking the ocean and all the amenities you may need. There is a pool, a gym, a jacuzzi, a bar, a lunch counter and a gift shop on site, as well as a nice parking deck. It is in walking distance of the crossroads of Garden City, which is a small beach town, far enough south of Myrtle Beach to avoid the huge crowds, but with an arcade, a pier and great places to eat.
